Outreach and Media

The only experience better than the act of discovery, is the experience of sharing that experience with someone.

I have been an astronomy guru for popular magazines, museums, software applications, and social media. I'm also a committed community volunteer: I regularly give public lectures on science, and I've led public observing sessions, historical tours, interactive workshops, and Science Cafes.

My research has been featured on many news outlets including BBC News, ABC News, The Verge, Space.com, and the Huffington Post. I've been a consultant for journalists (e.g., National Geographic, Mashable) and for software development of citizen science applications (e.g., SkyWatch). I've written for popular publications (e.g., Astronomy Magazine) and been a pen pal for many enthusiasts and budding astronomers.
